Aliza, Karoli, and I recorded our podcast live again on Substack today, and we had a lot fewer technical difficulties.
If only we could say the same about our politics. It was a dire week (which is something I’ve been saying every week). We talked about the fallout from the murder of Charlie Kirk (and Jimmy Kimmel is just the latest high profile victim of the new McCarthyism).
We also touched upon the regime’s attack on the University of California and crazy $15 billion lawsuit against the New York Times, the raucous welcome the President received when he arrived in the UK last night, and how Congressional Democrats have performed this week in hearings with Kash Patel and former CDC head Susan Monarez.
And we even spent a little time reflecting on the life and work of Robert Redford, who passed away yesterday. I’m going to comfort myself by watching Hubbell and Katy survive the 1950’s blacklist era.
