Karoli, Aliza, and I spent some time today talking about the extrajudicial killings of people on boats in the Caribbean and the new details make it very clear that the US -under the leadership of Trump and Hegseth - is committing war crimes. Is this what prompted those Democratic lawmakers to make that “Don’t Give Up the Ship” video?
The bipartisan disgust at this story is just the latest thorn in the side of the Trump administration, as the economy falters, inflation rises, and their approval ratings plummet… while Democrats continue to overperform in special elections - even in the reddest of districts.
We also talked about Aftyn Behn’s over-performance in TN-17 (and her defiant NOT A CONCESSION speech), Trump’s under-performance at another one of those Dear Leader Cabinet meetings yesterday (i.e., he kept falling asleep!), and what is motivating all those billionaires (and after that discussion, I’ll never look at Peter Thiel’s head the same way).
